Oh no!

While that sounds like a horrible fate for sweet Rosa (and Steve, well, he's from Texas, so he should understand), protecting trademarks is just business.

If you work hard, spend lots of blood/sweat/money to develop your brand, and then someone encroaches on all that hard work/money you've spent? Wouldn't you want to protect it, too?

Guess it sounds like I'm defending Texans. Maybe it's because I'm a Texan, and no, Nikki, we're not "just a little meaner there." But we are proud, and we do stand up for what we think is right.

That being said, I've eaten at the Texas Mi Cocina, and they are not even close to being as wonderful as Mi Cocina Mi Pais, and it does seem silly that the Mexican cuisine based Texas outfit would be threatened by a mom and pop Ecuadorian shop a thousand miles away...unless they have designs on opening up here...which they shouldn't bother because they couldn't compete taste-wise with our amazing Mexican restaurants.

So I will make sure I stop by the new Mi Comida and slurp up the old favorites as well as the new. Thanks for the post and reminding me what a treasure Rosa has over there on West Bell.
